General Information SPER Annual Meeting

Assistance for Hotel Guests with Special Needs/ADA

The Austin Marriott Downtown meets or exceeds all requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Hotel facilities including, but not limited to, accessible parking, public entrance, registration desk, meeting space, restrooms, dining areas, common areas, swimming pool and sufficient guest rooms are reasonably accessible and usable by persons with special needs.  Braille and tactile signage provided for permanent rooms and spaces.  Service animals are welcome.

Individuals interested in using childcare services are responsible for coordinating and paying the agency directly. Arrangements shall not be made through SER but rather directly through the interested parties.  You should give the company a two-week notice before the service is needed.

Lactation Room

A lactation room will be available throughout the conference. Please inquire about the location at registration.

Airport Transportation

Public transit: CapMetro Route 20 runs between the airport and downtown Austin and stops a
few blocks from the conference hotel. Adult fare is $1.25 per ride or $2.50 per day. People aged

Ground transportation: You can find information on taxis, rental cars, and ride shares on the
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport website.
