Tenure Track Faculty Position

The Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, NJ is seeking to recruit a tenure track faculty at the rank of instructor or assistant professor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• The candidate must have completed, or soon to complete, doctoral training (Ph.D., ScD, or DrPH) in epidemiology or biostatistics.
• Candidates must have completed (or soon to complete) post-doctoral training.
• Conduct empirical research in perinatal and reproductive epidemiology or women’s health research.
• Strong expertise in epidemiological methods research (particularly in causal inference methods) and population health research
• Participate actively in teaching programs in this area.

Preferred Qualifications
The successful applicant will:
• Have (or applied) a funded career development award.
• Have a strong record of scholarly achievement with an impressive publication record.
• Be expected to have a successful record of extramurally funded research or demonstrate a strong potential to obtain extramural research funding.
• Be expected to develop and maintain a collaborative and sustaining program based on their expertise.

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences is comprised of seven divisions, including the General Division, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, Family Planning, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology, and Infertility (Reproductive Medicine Associates of NJ) and Epidemiology and Biostatistics. The Department has an ABOG-accredited residency program in obstetrics and gynecology (5 residents per year), as well as fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine (1 fellow per year), urban global scholar (1 fellow per year), gynecologic oncology (1 fellow per year) and reproductive endocrinology and infertility (2 fellows per year). There are approximately 50 full-time faculty members in the Department.
